Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations on restoring a Morris in Central Scotland.

Does anyone know of a decent garage?

thanks - all suggestions welcomed

There are a couple of restoration companies around Perthshire, if that is central enough for you.

It will depend on what the value of your Morris is expected to be on completion, as costs can be eye watering.

There is Classic Restorations (Scotland) and Milford engineering.

Bob Falconer in Arbroath - very thorough, but a long waiting list.

Just compare value of car with cost of restoration. Not sure Scotland would be my location of choice if I was going to have a car restored.

As per your item in the Scotland section - Roseburn Garage Edinburgh. I have no connection with them other than as a very satisfied customer. The work they did on my XJS a few years ago was outstanding, and at a VERY reasonable cost. They have since done several other pieces of work for my son and I..
Do not be put off by the external appearance and the apparent laid back manner. I have also seen several other unusual cars in there that other garages wouldn't touch.

I say it because in my experience there are a much larger selection of dealers, suppliers and craftspeople round the M25. In fairness I have not heard of some of the names mentioned, but some I have found don’t handle enough cars of specific to be really familiar with them, and others really expensive.
