As above, late last night, i finally found some info my Late Dads third and last E - Type after a 30 year plus search !!
However, Brightwells catalogue from May 15 has no mention of it ?
Mistake by the poster on XKE Data maybe ?

Anyone recognize it ??

I well remember my Late Dad telling me that a Doctor had bought it new for his Wife, but that she wanted a V-12 Roadster, so @ just six months old, they sold it. The cars original reg number is a Southend on Sea issue, but the Heritage info says that it was supplied new by the Abbots dealer ship. Is this Abbots of Farnham, Surrey ? I dont have a Jaguar main agents / dealer list from 1971.
Sadly the car has had a bloody awful webasto sunroof hacked into it some time after he sold it in i believe Mid 1974. Lots of memories, some great and some very sad are flooding back this morning.....

Seen here in early 1972, alongside JXC 83H his 1969 regency red S.2.
He p/ex the S.2 for the S.3. Not sure where, but posdibly Leigh on Sea.

No problem, finding this sort of stuff isn't too tricky since I'm using my own database of previous auctions

Sadly, cars are often bought but then left for years (sometimes decades!) before the owner decides they're not going to get it restored and sell it on...

No record of JXC 83H having been auctioned frown

When I bumped into JXC 83H @ E - Type day at Brighton in 85, it's long term owner Dale, said he had no intention of ever selling it. It's taxed now, so hopefully he still has it !
