Revolut business account doesn't do DD

Had asked for any tips here for a modern well featured Business Bank account. I opened a Revolut Business account in the end as my personal card works well. Well the very first DD setup was rejected by them as they only do DD's in Euros it seems. This is chocolate teapot stuff. Thought I'd warn anyone thinking of opening one.

I've gone for a Tide one now instead - seems to have even more functionality and yes ye olde Direct Debits in Sterling!. Sign up is proving problematic though - I dont have any bank statements or websites to show them as proof of ID as they don't exist on a new business! So its not a 5 minute jobbie as they say!

They actually introduced UK direct debits a week or two after the OP's post.

That review features several incorrect statements regarding Revolut.

It does have categorised spending and instant notifications. Better than Starlings - and I have used both.

I've used Tide for the past 2 years, spot on

There was a £100k limit (credit in account) but this was lifted after a few in app messages and a copy of invoices forwarded.

The interface is much slicker and fact you can hold so many different currencies. I think Starling is still just £ and Euro.
