ford fiesta mk5 zetec s a future investment|?
Discussion
So looking at a 2nd car today a zetec s ford fiesta mk5 the guy wants 1k for it which i think is a fair enough price, couple of grumbles some minor rust spots both rear arches but very minor very clean under sills etc and under the car, for 19yr old car cant expect 100%, air filter had a taped up for a hole but he said got a spare could replace this before the sale, otherwise all very clean look good else where, are these car likely make a good investment i feel like very hard to find in good nick now and this could be a chance own one before its to impossible or cost a small fortune to restore one
Can't see it ever being worth more than the Puma with the same underpinnings tbh, so would have though that would be a better bet. Very high volume car so I'd have thought it'll be quite a long time before it would appreciate significantly, and even if it goes up 5x or so, it's still not a huge amount of money in the grand scheme of things / against cost of insurance, tax, maintenance over 8-10 years.
Buy if it you like it, good car, you probably won't lose money but I wouldn't seriously consider it as an investment personally.

It’s not going to make you rich, but it’s a great car. I had a 1.25 Zetec as my first car and it was really, really good. I was insanely envious of my friend in Sixth Form who had the Zetec-S.
Had a 1.25 Zetec for a few years as a stop-gap. Have to say, factoring in running costs, reliability, reasonable handling, it's possibly the "best" car I've owned.

what I liked about it very fun to drive I need a back up car until funds get better for 1k could fit the bill for a while plus the misses wants to learn to drive in my 1.2 fiesta so at least now if she crashes it there a back up ha, but yeah we live out sticks a bit so rely on 1 old car little risky if breaks down, plus mot next week as well, I know this car old to but I guess for 1k least worst case I get my money back as any other car just likely to lose even more value become scrapGassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
