Hello
Does anyone know if its possible to freeze fresh chillis. Ive purchased lots of Trinidad Scorpios, Bhuts and a few others. Now I have them Ive realised Im not going to be able to eat them all before they go off.

Is it possible to freeze them, if so do they need to be prepared in anyway?

Thanks.

yes, they freeze really well. I like to grate frozen chillies on various dishes

Yup, we have a large stash of home grown chillies in our freezer.

They don't even need defrosting - just dice and cook.

You can pickle them to good effect too.

Cover them with white vinegar in a clear jar.

They’re great frozen - much easier to thinly slice!

I buy most mine when they are reduced due to sell by date in the supermarket. I then just put them in a large former margarine container - some times it's pots luck which chillies I use
