Allergy testing - any recommendations?
Discussion
Poor girl at work - in her 20's, had anaphylactic shock last week, and again in the office this morning.
My theory is the office is right next door to a spice factory, and since she started working here last year her skin has been flaring up gradually and now BOOM.
Just before we rushed her off to A&E she mentioned something about being able to get an appointment at Addenbrookes in March 2019! Surely this isn't the typical lead time to get checked out?
Anyone had similar experiences and any suggestions of private companies that could help her out?
Cheers

When I had myself tested I paid for a private consultation at a private clinic with a specialist that also did work for the NHS cost around £200 iirc.
3 weeks later I had all the tests done in the NHS hospital. Forget if it was 78 or 87 bloody stickers on my back with no showering allowed for a week.
The test was clear and it turned out for me to be sugar that my skin was fighting with and your friend has different symptoms. Remember the tests are only for external not things you eat or at least that is what was explained to me hence me working out 4 big bags of mixed skittles per day after giving up smoking was not a good idea.
Might be a route to take, and when I spoke to my GP it was his suggestion as normal NHS wait times were 6 months.
