Deduction on payslip
Discussion
I asked payroll who said take it up with manager. Manager not available for comment.
Point being they have not consulted me in any way therefore I have no idea why or what ist been done for.
I did an early finish ages ago (June) but this was time off in lieu and was agreed with said manager..
I just didn't think anything could be deducted without consultation, a quick google seems to state nothing can be deducted without written consent unless its a legal requirement it NI/Income tax ect ect.

Why have they removed ? They must have a reason, if they do and it's in the terms of your contract then no consultation required. Is it correction of a previous overpayment ?
no idea why its been removed, hence the post.cant be over payment as salaried

Probably the early Finish has been logged and they have deducted but they don’t know about it being in lieu.Point being they have not consulted me in any way therefore I have no idea why or what ist been done for.

What a crap attitude.Employee?
the guy agreed with his manager some time off in lieu. it looks like it has been logged as absence. mistake number one. not communicated with payroll / hr
they then deducted money, which to op wasn't agreed as he didn't finish early he took time off in lieu. that's mistake two.
I always check my E-mails out of working hours.
Often work late if a customer requires it (I am paid 9-5 only).
Always volunteer for weekend work etc.
We have time sheets so my time is always accounted.
only one week in the last 6 months have i actually done 37.5 hours.
the rest usually averages around 42 hours (my contract is 37.5)
my highset was 68. for that i got zero over time.
but i get flexibility in my job , work from home, no nagging or checking so i'm fine with that.
but if i wan some toil my boss just says don't worry i'll make sure people know not to bother you. it does not need to be passed up to payroll, as we are salaried (time sheets are for admin purposes)
if they were to deduct some money because i took a few hours off then i would be pissed..............

Lots of assumption here. The reality of the known facts are that the OP has no idea why but everybody seems able to make up some facts and give some opinion. the guy agreed with his manager some time off in lieu. it looks like it has been logged as absence. mistake number one. not communicated with payroll / hr
they then deducted money, which to op wasn't agreed as he didn't finish early he took time off in lieu. that's mistake two.
