Standard speakers in the new 3 series

Looking at one of these on a lease deal. However my Audi has the upgraded speakers and the sound is really good. What are the stock BMW speakers like for listening to music?

I am not a massive music fan, but do like to crank it up from time to time.

Standard in my experience on a 3 series and 2 x Z4's are IMO rubbish.

You will need Karmon Hard-On or Bowers & Wilkins for a decent sound from a BMW radio.

As others have said, the standard stereo in any BMW or Mini is dreadful.

For point of reference, I have the B&O system in my SQ5 and prefer the HK system I have in my 1 series.

Interesting. I can't say I'm amazed with the B&O system in my A4. It's good at times but it doesn't handle spoken word that great so audiobooks are sometimes awful.

The type of music I listen to is good though in the Audi.

In all it sounds like a recipe for disappointment unless I upgrade them.

My pre-reg’d, happened-upon F30 had HK audio. Now I rarely play music in the car, but expect a decent set-up. HK is decent enough, and if you have decent HiFi at home, you would not settle for a lesser set-up.
