Giulia rear brake pads

Got a brake pad warning light a a couple of months ago and so did a quick visual check, all looked good “ like new”. Light flickered firstly then stayed on, asked a local garage what they thought and they replied “probably a software glitch” very plausible, tiz an Alfa ! But turns out inboard rear pads both sides are completely shot .. down to metal !! and outside ones as I said like new. Front pads still got plenty left, car not two until December, 12k miles !!

Handbrake dragging? This usually works on the inner rear pads on disc setups which would account for the uneven wear.
