Hi,
I'm looking at new tyres as my current ones are at 4mm front 2.5mm rear for my YBR125.
Currently I have Mitas MC7 2.75-18 42p front and Mitas MC7 90/90-18 51p rear.

The tyre choice I have narrowed down to are:

Continental Conti City 2.75-18 RF TL 48P front and 90/90-18 RF TL 57P rear.

Michelin Pilot Street 2.75-18 TT/TL 42P front and 90/90-18 RF TT/TL 57P rear

Metzeler ME22 2.75-18 RF TL 48P front and 90/90-18 RF TT 57P rear

I'm going to be using the bike for commuting, even after doing my DAS (and buying a HD Iron 883) as I am getting excellent millage and the bike costs me all in £600 a year running costs.

I have being going through reviews and from what I have read the Metzeler's have the edge, the Conti's I cannot find reviews for and there are lots of negatives about the Michelins, they probably sell more hence a greater review-base.

I'm leaning towards the Michelin Pilot's at present another option may be the Michelin City Pro, but I haven't looking at them yet.

Can any offer thoughts on these tyres?

Any of them will be a magnitude better than the Mitas' you currently have on.

I have personal experience of the yb on Mich. Pilots, I have to say they perform brilliantly in all weathers.

So , another vote for the Pilots from me.

I went for the Michelin Pilot Streets, they seemed to be well regarded at the time. For the first year the were great but seem to have lost some bite with age, either that or I'm being less cocky with them. They're so cheap it's tempting to get some new ones even though the current ones are only half worn.

Can anyone recommend tyres for a 2011 CBF125? I have ContiGOs at the moment and in the wet I fell like the bike will fall over at any moment. I've only been riding just over a week and have already low-sided in a wet car park.

It's a crazy thought, but have you considered some Michelin Pilot Streets?

hehe

I use the pilot sportys which you can take the piss with in the dry. Maybe not so good for wet though.
