A week on from the exceitement of Mexico the F1 circus rolls into Austin, touted as one of the friendliest cities in the USA and (most likely) the site where Lewis will be crowned champion for the 6th time.

Timings make this an easy weekend for us in the UK to follow the action, and though the result of the season may not be in much doubt, this is often a good race and I'm looking forward to seeing what the teams lower down the pecking order can make of it.

I enjoy this circuit. Can’t wait!

Also can’t believe we’re just a stones throw from the end of the season - it feels like the season only just started!!

Not good. It’s WiFi on the train but uses 4G to connect, so it keeps dropping out as the signal varies and of course nothing through the tunnel itself.

Another race that Ferrari should win, but probably won't.

Why do you think they should win here? Even with their recent corner improvements this circuit still favours Merc surely?

Not really F1 related but I'm going to give a huge shout out to Lufthansa who on the last two flights made it possible to watch the GP live in HD on my phone!!

Also whilst driving in Germany both the radio and cell data is maintained through the autobahn tunnels - they must use repeaters. I first noticed this about 15 years ago, god knows why the rest of Europe and indeed the Chunnel can't be arsed to fit the same system...

Back to point; I use the Eurostar a couple of times a year. I can confirm you're screwed, you will miss at very least the 20mins in the tunnel.

My dad and I were considering going to this one but we decided against it back in April/May when it looked like Hamilton was going to have the title wrapped up by now - wish we'd gone ahead now! Maybe next year.

I’m heading to this one, I suspect it will be a little different to the European races I’ve been too, will hopefully see Lewis finish the job too.

Longer flight, bigger burgers, larger beers smile

I reckon you've got a good 50/50 on seeing Lewis take his sixth though wink

Where do you live? It's a great venue and a great race to attend live!

Houston so not too far, last minute planning though so accommodation may be expensive and rough in equal measure!

First order of business is the Astros though!

Enjoy!

You don't need to spend much time at the hotel - no point spending $$$ to have a hotel room sitting there empty!!!

A Merc 1-2 to seal up the championships? Slightly envious of those heading out it’s always looked a great one to attend.

Just stream over 4g, (vodafone works in the tunnel), then 4g most of the way on roaming..
