You may recall me asking around for a spare laptop to capture webcam images of my housemate's Megabird build back in May.

Well, the car is nearly finished, in fact it actually moved under it's own power for the first time this evening. Over 130,000 images have been captured so far ready to be selected for inclusion in the videos, which is I assure you, a mind numbing task!
The time-lapse movies are in production and the first one showing the day the engine was fitted is available from megabird.co.uk under the Downloads menu.
I hope you enjoy the results, the final video of the complete build is looking to be a corker -- the time lapse works better than I could have hoped.

Let me know what you think.

Cool...

Pistonheads at work, 3/4 of the film involves standing around talking about putting the engine in.....boys and there toys eh !!!

Hope it's ready for the SVA on time.

The wireless PCMCIA network card died last night, taking the garage webcam offline. If anyone in the Cambridge area has a spare one they're able to lend me for a few days I'd be very grateful.

While I'm on the subject, does anyone know where I can buy a Lucent Orinoco Gold Wavelan wireless PC Card? I saw one in action yesterday and it performed much better than my crappy old SMC one ever did.

Edit: because.
