Audi A4 2012 Boot Lid Repray
Discussion
Hi all.
I bought a 2012 Audi A4 a few months from The Car People. At the time of purchasing I noticed rusting on the boot lid and requested that they repair it, they did but appears to be a botched up job as after the 3000 miles guarantee its showing up again. I took it to Audi and they said as someone had painted over it, the car isn't covered under the corrosion warrenty. So recently I've just had my car repaired by Alton Cars under an insurance claim and they did an outstanding job and got a quote for the boot lid for £200 +VAT.
Is this a reasonable price? As the bodywork mechanic told me a higher quote then backtracked to a reduced price claiming it was cheap (he also mentioned that he will stick the badges back on as usually they are hard to get back on after taking off to respray which are £20 a badge).
