Might be looking at a compromise agreement from my current employers, but I would greatly benefit from someone helping to negotiate and draft; my current employers are not acting legally or morally and so my least worst choice may be to depart under mutual agreement.

Can anyone make any personal recommendations based on experience for a suitable lawyer? not likely to be a huge amount of money as these things go, but it would be a lot of risk but also a lot of cash for us. (to be honest at the moment, £200 is a lot of cash.....)

From my own experience in the past, your employer should make a decent contribution towards your legal costs in such a situation as otherwise you might be able to claim you were forced into signing the doc without adequate independent advice. Also check to see if your home insurance covers such matters?

FWIW, you'll need probably at least £500 contribution from them as such advice doesn't come cheap in most parts of the country & you need an employment lawyer for this.

Good luck with getting it sorted.

Ping me a message and I will see what i can do.

ETA - your employer should provide you with a draft - unless you are wanting help drafting some specific additional terms to be included in any SA?

I know an excellent employment lawyer. PM me and I can forward your details onto him.
I also used to live with him for 3 years. He is a really nice guy and good at what he does.
