H&R spacers

Read up on spacers for the rear of my Vantage and understand that the 23mm H&R ones are what I need. I have Sport Pack from the factory with the wheels.

I’m still not 100% sure on whether I need to alter the original wheel studs, or whether they are plug and play.

Before I commit, could some kind soul help out ? Ideally if they have the same set up.

Hi,

I mounted the H&R spacers two days ago on my Vantage S, front and rear.
They are 11mm each side and delivered with new wheel nuts, you have to use them instead of the OEM ones.

No need to cut bolts, just simply clean the surfaces and mount them with the new nuts.

Mind you, could be persuaded on 11mm - do you have a pic before and after ?

H&R 23mm will fit Sports Pack wheels with no mods needed - definitely the way to go

Watching with interest—I have a set of Sports Pack ready for summer. For winter, I am fine with recessed wheels I guess, for dirt and rain. For summer, I would like things to look as good as possible.

Which website are you buying these from? Wo in Deutschland, Thorsten?

Any cons in having spacers? Like geometry offsets, abnormal tyre wear and more importantly premature wear of steering/suspension components?

At 1-2,000 miles a year I doubt there will be too much premature ageing on my car.

Morning all I am a bit confused now I looked on the H&R website and it says the 11mm spacers are supplied with new studs I would like to fit the 11mm spacers to my vehicle which is a 2006 v8v and has sportpack wheels so can I just buy the spacers and fit them straight on with the standard nuts or do I require longer studs or different wheel nuts very confusing.

you will need the H&R lug nuts - unlike the OEM ones they have thread all the way to the end of the nut - which makes up for the loss of 11mm of stud thread

Torsten, how do you manage to keep your brake disc hubs so perfectly rust free? Any special treatment, coating or washing routine?

When new, I painted the discs with primer and paint, both temperature resistant up to 800 C and branded the paint in an oven by 400 C. Same with the spacers.
No special cleaning, but also no aggressive wheel cleaner.

Did you do it by yourself or by a paintshop? I had my rear brake discs re-painted by the main dealer´s paintshop with heat resistant silver paint and they looked really good. But even after the very first wash with a soft sponge the paint had just rubbed off in one or two places (looking like smear). This paint seems extremely delicate. Really don´t know how to handle them now. The service manager had warned me it wouldn´t last long.

Got them on my DB9 also with the H&R spring.

Should be 11mm fronts and 23mm rears iirc
The fronts will come with replacement wheel nuts that look just like Aston ones but designed to work with the spacer.
The rears will come with replacement studs..

I did it myself, the key is to use the right paint material and to brand it in in an oven, then it will last a time. The dealers paint shop wouldnt have done that i think .....

Does this Ebay pic sum it all up then for V8 Vantage and/or DB9? (same same?)

The 23mm are the ones I’ve ordered for my V8V and if I was going to order fronts those would be the ones I’d go for !

I’m on Sport Pack wheels.

Yep, I'm also on Sportspack wheels (2009 model) but I'm not sure the offset is any different to standard wheels, not checked though.
I also have no idea how different the 2012-onwards cars are. Something for others to chip in with?
