Tyre pressure sensor issues
Discussion
Hi,
My zaf has a strange tpms issue. The sensor for my rear left wheel on my cars display corresponds to my rear right wheel and vice versa for the rear right wheel.
I tested by deflating left wheel to 20psi and the in car display stated the right wheel was at 20psi. Reinflated to 35 and the car then was reading right at 35.
How can I correct this?

Each TPMS sensor has a unique identity code. The TPMS unit in the car either figures out where each sensor is based on signal strength and direction (Auto locating) or it needs to be programmed with "Sensor XXXXX = Front Left, Sensor YYYYY = Front Right.
Sounds like yours is programmed with the wrong info or was right but the wheels have been swapped. If your tyres aren't directional the easiest thing to do is swap the wheels. If they are directional then either you physically swap the tyres or valves which will cost some money. Or go to a tyre place that does TPMS and can reprog your car which should cost less money. (Is this due to a recent tyre change, maybe the tyre place put them on wrong and could fix the issue as a good will gesture). Or a trip to your local friendly dealer.
Some cars you can program from the driver interface other need separate tools. This thread might be relevant

As it stands at least they work and you know which is actually which.
