A 1960s rear engine Roadster Can you Identify this car? I can't, I was reckoning something German? Anyone?

The Caravelle (or was it a Floride) was nearly my first car at the age of 17 in 1970. Belonged to a friend of my Dads but when we went to look at it, it had a dent in the front, right where the sharp horizontal "crease" is. Dad said no. (He wanted me to have the 100E Pop he had, I wanted a Frogeye, ended up with a MG Midget but I digress).
The Renault was a very pretty car with a very small engine about 900cc IIRC.

Got to agree, promised to be a truly pretty car - which is why I asked the question. It's all wrong front on.

The underpinnings and drivetrain of the Floride were basically a Renault Dauphine. As was the speedometer!

My mum and dads first car when they got together. White with "leopard skin" seat covers. My dad (long gone unfortunately) used to say that it looked far better than it actually went. Think my brother has a photo of Mum (sans blond beehive) looking very glamorous sitting in it.
