MK5 Polo Screenwash Reservoir
Discussion
Hi all,
Hoping someone can help me out. Recently bought a 16 plate (MK5) Polo which had a foul smell from the screenwash.
I left a hose in the filler cap to flush it out and a few minutes later heard a loud pop and all the fluid just drained straight out the bottom. I've checked the motor, still works and there is still some residual fluid left in the reservoir but if I try and fill it any more, it just drains straight back out again.
I'm assuming some kind of plug or hose has popped out but cannot see it at all - Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I need to look for? I can take the wheel arch liner out a little and take a peek but I would rather not remove anything. If the motor is working, could it just be a disconnected hose or something?
Not mechanically inclined so would rather avoid removing the front bumper to take a look.
Thanks

Officially this is bumper off and wheel arch liner out job.
The liner bolts/screws go into expanding fixings inside the wing which should be renewed on removal/replacement.
