Which do you think is the best all-round for looks, performance, interior?

It would be the A45 with the Aero Kit over the other two it's the more special car, I would say it would be a closer call if it was an RS Focus/RS3.

The A45 is from the class above those two. It's with an M2 or an RS3.

I’d have to pick the merc personally, like all 3 but as said the merc looks a bit more special.

All subjective but I don't see the A45 being more special than the other two. It's more powerful, yes, but they just seem a bit "meh" for me. I'd go for the Golf R all day. You're getting much better value IMO and I reckon it'll be more fun and be a bit more characterful than the others.

Its more powerful and more capable too - especially in facelift 380BHP(ish) form. Its an equivalent to the RS3 not the S3.

BUT, i do take your point - they would command a very considerable premium over the equivalent year & miles Golf R, and that could be hard to justify.

The Golf R is the getaway vehicle of choice. hehe

The Focus RS has a ride that is way too hard for the road.
