Hi all, looking for a bit of road advice here.
I have searched and read a few threads with some relevant advice already but none have managed to answer my question.

Got back on the bike earlier this year after moving house (Kent/Dartford area). It's a large comfy ride so no issues on the road wrt comfort. Been riding to Canary Wharf but now I just took up a new job, so my commute involves getting to Chancery Lane.

A2 makes sense heading in, so after coming out the Blackwall tunnel I have tried the A13, and the A11 but both were fairly congested, wide trucks and buses meaning I couldn't get past and I noted most other riders had to head into oncoming traffic multiple times to get to the lights. Speaking of which, many sets of lights which doesn't help much.

I'm going to be trialing a few routes, but wanted to ask if anyone here has recommendations on routes into Chancery Lane that work better? Maybe via Old Street?
Would it even be worthwhile considering travelling through South London and over one of the bridges?

Thanks in advance.

Additionally, I see from another thread that apparently bus lanes are not consistently open to motorcycles? frown I feel I might receive some nasty news in the coming weeks (thanks, part & parcel Sadiq)

I work near Chancery Lane myself & I come in via Blackwall & then down Commercial Road, lots of bus lanes and a nice easy ride in just have to keep your eyes open for cars pulling out & turning left/right without indicating.

Thanks for the quick response, much appreciated. I reckon commercial road is an option provided the others don't work out that well - but I must admit I didn't find it the greatest riding in earlier this week. I'm hoping there's a wider carriageway that makes lane splitting easier on another path (pie in the sky dream I fear)

No worries - you'll get used to it, there is a bus lane all the way along commercial road from start to finish so plenty of room for bikes. I use the Waze app attached to a Quad lock on my bike & that notifies me of any road works/closures/police etc so if you do deviate off of your normal route you wont end up lost, just try a few different routes and see whats best for you.
