Cars with the best adaptive headlights?
Discussion
I do a lot of night driving in country lanes. My BMW 3 series (2013) has adaptive lights and they help me especially in corners. However, a few don’t seem to like them! However, I find that in corners the lights are slow to react to oncoming traffic.
Since I have the new car itch. I was wondering who makes the best adaptive headlights. Any makes, models or years to look out for. It’s one of the must haves for me when buying new or used.
Thanks

LED ILS on my 2014 E class are very very good and much better than a colleague's BMW 5 series with similar technology. The beam forming and blanking out boxes around vehicles in front is an amazing sight to behold.
My only complaint with the Mercedes lights is that in auto mode they wont activate main beam below about 30 mph which means switching back to manual mode when driving down narrow country lanes at night (not too much of a hardship!)

My NB MX5
Lights come on at any time they are required , go to main beam , as soon as the road ahead is clear dip instantly a vehicle is spotted in the road ahead , dip if following another vehicle .
Isn’t old technology wonderful
BTW why do the front fog lights in my Tiguan come on when the car is reversing ?

I think the fogs tend to light up quite "wide" to the sides of the car so if you are reversing you are probably/possibly doing a manoeuvre in a tight spot and so some extra lighting to the sides of the car could be considered useful...?
