I'm not sure that's correct. They might be to themselves, but not from outside.

Some cultures encourage the use, and abuse of slaves. This is excused by some logic or other, such as blacks being inferior. A culture based on a religion might enforce rule on one sub group, such as women, who have no say in how they are treated. I'm certain the blokes, at least those of that particular religion, feel their culture is pretty spot-on.

If all cultures are equal and valid then, logic dictates, that all past cultures are equal to and as valid as ours. Differences are good. Let's go for that. However, whilst I accept that morality is subjective, to impose one's will upon another just because one can goes beyond the pale.
