So have been thinking about changing my missus' Evoque for a while now but keep procrastinating as there is no real rush - its a 2015 plate with 22k on the clock...

Anyway, went into RR dealership the other day as the car needed a service and had a look around the other cars....I had even mentioned to the sales team that I would be coming in to have a look at a RRS but despite this, they had no cars to test drive or even a willingness to build one with me (I was indirectly told....probably best if you build the car you want at home and send it through to me....). I am completely baffled as how disinterested these guys were in selling a car....I would have understood if they were busy but there was not a soul in the place and 3-4 sales guys just sitting around....bizzard

Maybe it is the persona I gave off but there was no attempt to try and sell me anything....so instead, I just sat there for 3 or so hours watching netflix on my phone as they just surfed the internet...

Am I missing something?

That's extraodinary - for a prospective customer to be snubbed is something that the franchise owner should knwo about...I would have complained loudly, but I think you ought to write to someone senior.

The other 2 hours 50 mins is the contempt with which they treat you!

Because they know what horrific value they will place on your Evoque, making any new deal impossible / undesirable.
