Having read some of the pub talk BS on the 'Worst sales patter' thread here I wondered what other fibs, embellishments or outright lies you've seen on here or heard from a friend/colleague.
Some of the posts in that thread are gold and surely can't be beaten.

Local social media like “Nextdoor” takes some beating ! Here is one example I did. I MADE a event up (dramatic street robbery) . Within 30 mins it was spreading like wildfire .members claiming they had seen the police there or the attack itself . Some saying they even helped the victim etc . Kinda went pear shape when I explained 2 days later it was a “social experiment “ and it shows how there is a desire to be part of something . It upset a few !
