E90 320D battery replacement

2005 E90 320D battery is getting sluggish at starting in the cold weather, it's the original so it's done well. It's BMW branded, 80Ah, 640CCA.

I'm looking at DIY installing either a Bosch S5 010 (type 110) or S5 011 (type 115) as both have similar length and width as the original. They are higher spec 85Ah, 800CCA. Sound OK?

Presumably it'll need coding into the ECU by a dealer afterwards to reset the charging parameters?

It’s pre IBS so no battery registration required.

Thanks helix, appears the dealer trying to get me to fork out for battery reg. that isn't required then. What a surprise...
