so close now guys !!!

Hi all, just an update. Everything working, even the lights. Dont know what I have done, but, they work. Put the better alloys on, what a difference they make!
Renovo'd the hood, ordered new Cibie Airports. Just need a new K+N air filter. Wheres's the cheapest place to get one from? Change the diff/gearbox and engine oils now, just to be safe and we will be ready for the dreaded MOT. Might be out and about soon. If it wasn't for the car and trailer being in the way and the rain I would be out now bedding the brakes in !!
Its that close, I am soooooo excited. The car sounds awsome. The better of my next door neighbours came around as he could hear something meaty!! Was annoyed that I had kept it a secret from him for so long.
Mikeb...pump 4 is calling ......
Dickymint...will surprise you one night....
Jeff ..... will give you a race....
When is the BBWF ? Hope I can make it
cheers .....ug

That would be irresponsible, same as hooning around the beacons and sneaking up on sunday drivers and scaring the bejesus out of them
Good job on the rest. Fingers crossed for you.
BBWF should be pinned to the top of the Wedge forum and in the calendar

Good show!
Julie and I have just got back from a weekend in the Lakes; plenty of gyppo horses terrified, speed limits pushed and so on.
Low points included:
Two vehicles, one a people carrier with kids in, overtaking us and an artic, across double-whites, red tarmac and chevrons, at a crossroads on the A66. FFS. Does it never occur to these ar5epipes that the markings might be there for a reason?
Needless to say both w@nkers were found further up the road, not making any serious progress.
Also the artic drive giving me the coffee beans just because I overtook a couple of vehicles and was on his side of the road for a while.
I left everyone plenty of room, nobody (including Twatty the Truckie) had to brake, swerve or break stride but still he had to have his say. It was actually the antics of the berk in the Merc in front of me that prompted the manouevre; if anyone was likely to cause an accident, he was.
Then there was the bling brigade treating Keswick like it was their private racetrack.
Never a Police car around when you want one.
High spots (apart from the thraping and fell-walking) included the assortment of aged commercial vehicles seen on the roas of the Northeast today; from pre-war Standard vans to a WW2 Austin K2 fuel tanker to a Foden artic that was probably the biggest thing on the road in its day but was positively overshadowed by the Iveco 7.5-tonner that overtook it!
Right, back to mundanity must go and cook the tea...

Right, back to mundanity must go and cook the tea...

Yeah right on! Chicken buns all around then........
I bloody well enjoyed the last mini one with Jeff. These bikers kept on getting in the way however!
Creeping up on and then blasting by unsuspecting Sunday traffic should become an olympic sport
as well as burbling your way through small built up market towns......
That will be Chicken run 3 then.
When?
Where?
Count me in and it will be good to see the 350i out at last as well. Ugly, pump number 3 awaits then......
Mikeb
ps. You don't happen to have the old glass Airport glass lens still in one piece do you???
