Picked up a strange vibration last week coming from the gearbox area. When braking I can feel something moving under load as though either the exhaust or gearbox is moving. My main suspect is the gearbox mounts though I'm not sure. It only happens under braking...any ideas?
It's also worth checking the rear UJ's as these are stressed differently under braking.
What is vibrating - the gear stick?
The gear leaver is ok, its a knocking sound from uprfont in the gearbox/exhaust area. I can feel it through the footwell.
