Numpty winter wheel / tyre question

Hoping someone can help me regarding purchasing winter wheels and tyres for my 997.2 turbo PDK.

Nothing is ever straightforward it seems!

I was all set to purchase these, as I havent been able to find a winter tyre that will fit by standard 997 turbo wheels. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-Porsche-997-Al...

However, I emailed seller to double check they would fit and he replied as below. I have no idea how to respond, can anyone advise re offset etc? My car is on standard turbo wheels and discs. NOT ceramics.


you need to check if you can drive 235 40 r18 and 295 35 r18 99V. Also important to know is the offset of 51 and 57.

Not sure if the 18" winter wheels you're looking at will fit the 997.2 Turbo as the Porsche approved winter package used 19" like the OE size but just 10mm narrower on the rear (295 as opposed to OE 305).

If you're interested I have a set of barely used 19" Pirelli N rated SottoZero winter tyres from my 997.2 GTS which are the Porsche approved winter sizes for your 997.2 Turbo. Just means switching between the summer & winter tyres on your existing wheels. PM me if you're interested.

I'm not sure if the 18" wheels in your link will fit the Turbo as they were not listed as an option in that size in the Porsche winter wheels brochure from 2012 (sad - but I have a copy!). That design was only listed as fitting lesser models Carrera and Carrera S.
