Seems Arnie has bought a Pinzgauer.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7672...

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has gone on multiple carbon-emitting flights to Germany in order to make his gas-guzzling $100,000 Pinzgauer car more 'eco-friendly'. "

Greta has a lot to answer for.

Cool car though.

He's now best friends with The Messiah and she's okayed it. It's a form of carbon credit - she tells us all to reduce our consumption so that her new friend, Arnie, can pollute as much as he likes.

He's been doing that for years before it was cool though. He had his H1 made electric a fair few years ago.

Did not know that - that's just made me want one even more.

I did have to chuckle at the hypocrisy shown when everyone was praising Arnie for letting her use his Electric converted H1 Hummer - like yes converting to electric power = good, converting a 3680kg Hummer = bad, surely? Also, what is the mass now that it's got a st load of batteries in it?

No, it's electric, it must be good and more efficient, he's a hero - idiots.

Seems an oft missed point. I turned up at my local cafe (greasy spoon) in my electric car and a bloke said..."but what do you plug it in to", I replied "a coal fired power station"

More likely to be gas or nuclear these days but yes, it’s a small minority that use renewable to power their green cars.

Wouldn't really say a third was a small minority myself but yes it'll be a while before the grid is majority renewables.

Sorry I should have been clearer on my point, a small minority use directly renewable such as solar panels at home etc

Plus when the battery pack dies in a few years it can't be recycled and contains a whole heap of nasty chemicals and metals - Yay "eco" electric cars! biggrin
