Currently BIN for less than a reasonably priced 7.2 GT3 CS?

It’s a looky likey gen 1. Probably about right or even a tad high given the lack of originality in both directions, ie what it used to be and what it tries to be.

That is a really nice looking car (well not sure about the red accents, but that’s minor)
Just misses a cage

Even at the current price its a 'steal', seems to be the only non-RS 997 GT2 for sale as well.

Wonder if the owner is on here?

These always seem to hang around for ages at dealers and there was another cheap GT2 that went through auction a few months ago. Not sure this car is cheap or it’s actually what it’s worth....

I guess you could say it is what it is worth, but it is a lot of car for the money / a very special driving experience for the money - probably more special than a lot of more expensive cars can offer

Here’s the cheap GT2 that went through auction

https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/events/2019-au...

Estimated at £135k to £155k and sold/hammered for £95k....hard to know what exactly happened but it’s a CS and much lower mileage and a great colour. Auctioneer subsequently shows Sold £0 ! Probably means the £95k was fictitious

That auction was poor across a few lots but incredible that car hammered for that.

That does look lovely, was that the one at a Welsh OPC up for around 140k previously or was that another red one?

Where do these cars disappear back to if not sold or are they all SOR?

No the one in the welsh OPC was comfort spec from memory. I believe it may of been SOR. It looked to be in lovely condition, I saw it in the flesh a few times as it was there for sometime. Unsure if it actually sold or may of been returned back to its owner. I believe the asking price was far higher than 95k mind, I think it could of been around the £125k mark.

Makes you wonder if the auctioneer was just bidding off the wall, if it’s marked as £0 it probably didn’t sell.

Beautiful looking car, they made a few 997 turbo s cars in the same colour.

It was....for £150k plus IIRC. Went to auction just after it was removed from sale with them.

If the owner does still have it he’ll have to keep it for a good time if he wants to get that £130k plus money for it. A performance at auction for a unique spec car like that is a disaster.

I do feel this gt2 club sport is definitely a future classic, in 20 years time it will be a very rare beast imo. Am I correct in saying these are few and far between?

So I used to own this car 7 years ago and did the conversion.

All parts were genuine Porsche, including all of the suspension parts (widened front track and rosejoints iiirc) to make it as close to an RS as possible.

The only thing that I didn't do was add a genuine carbon bonnet, side scoops and the front carbon grills, at the time I was exhausted for funds so just wrapped these parts which unfortunately let it down as apparently these parts looks tired which you'd expect after suffering the elements for all that time.

I'm actually considering purchasing if back as I know the chap and adding all of the final carbon parts (can source for around £15k) but not sure if I'd be throwing good money after bad.

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

there were a little more than 300 built I believe - I wrote one of them off. Really loved the car for the 4 months I had it ....

I think as a car to own and drive, it would be great. I don't think it will ever be worth a lot more than today though if that is important to you. There is a genuine higher mileage GT2 RS for sale in Germany at c. 200k Euros from memory
