Hello,

Shot these pictures as a birthday present for my girlfriends sisters boyfriend (from my girlfriends sister not me). A nice present for a petrolhead me thinks.

He likes them too which is a bonus. :)

Another masterclass...this is getting boring, can't you post something we can slag off?

Martin.

That b-hague mount of yours is worth it's weight in gold! Must get myself one of those!

Great pics indeed - a wonderful present. Photobox are doing A2 prints for £5.99 as well at the moment, poster prints for f*** all money!

I love those montages you do. Also see a reacurring theme with the same road, possibly even waiting by the same bush.
Still; great photographs as always

Lovely work as always.

I particularly like number 8 the montage of two vertical shots.

Nice. Can I ask - do you do a "recce" of the area by yourself first or do you tend to choose locations "ad hoc" whilst out driving?

Cheers ben, its certainly proving to be valuable. Its taken me ages to get the hang of it though

He is gonna get some of them as gallery wrapped canvas I think... should look nice on the wall.

Unfortunately the normal 2 cup hague mount is quite limiting, and some of these shots would not be possible with it I think. Hague made mine for me specially so that I could get the camera much further from the body of the car. I dont have a good pic of it but ill get one soon i hope.

Ha ha, busted! Ive used some of the roads before but unfortunately where I live they all look the same I think they worked well with the subaru being a rally car though.

Cheers. I prepare everything before, from scouting the locations to having a written shoot list. I try to spend a while finding a good location but sometimes i run out of time before. With the csl I went back to the location 3 times before I did the shoot to find out the best angles and make absolutely sure. I still dont think I got the best out of that place but if id only gone there on the day it would have been a disaster... Its not just finding the locations though, sometimes you have to get permission to use them which can be hard. Ive got to start looking further afield for locations so Im gonna go up to london and spend a couple of days poking around soon.

Cheers

Matt
