Just noticed my phone has a reddish shadow to most parts of the screen when a white background is displayed. Then I noticed that there is a brighter white box at the top with the word miles and further down a brighter white vertical line, which I assume is the purple route.

This is an 18 month old Samsung S8, with Waze used around 1.5 to 2 hours/day.

Anybody else using Waze, experiencing this?

Samsungs screen burn like crazy, so it's not Waze per se.

My old S8 has a keyboard permanently burnt into the lower half of the screen, as well as the icons on the top.

My S9 is also doing more or less the same thing.

There's no fix, but running with lowered brightness will help slow it down.

As above OLED displays are more susceptible to burn in, and since portions of Waze are static it's a prime candidate for it. My Note 8 has visible screen burn from Waze, particularly noticeable is the "Report" button.

Had it badly on a note 8, luckily still under warranty so they fitted a new screen.

Other manufacturers don't seem to suffer as much as Samsung.

One other thing to do is night mode permanently to try to avoid it happening on a new screen.
