A colleague has lost the key to their 2016 Porsche ,they have the spare so no problem driving the car.

However is it possible to get the lost key disabled/ deprogrammed ?

If so how much is it likely to cost ? Plus the cost of a replacement ?

It is not keyless entry or start.

Cheers

I know the merc STAR system can do exactly that. We only had one key and I wanted to make sure that in the unlikely event the other one and the car came together they couldn't get in. STAR switched it off.
That doesn't mean Porsche can but I'd be amazed if it couldn't
Waits to be amazed...

Thanks

Called Porsche - yes they can do it

Price tomorrow - no doubt likely to be ‘hundreds’

For a 2008 997.2 I was quoted £300 for a new key from an OPC and to re-program all the other existing ones. You need to take your V5 and driving licence and all the keys in at the same time...... The quote was 6 months ago so it must be still close...

They can code the key out so it will no longer open the doors or start the car, but the key will still be able to operate the door lock from the outside.
