I'm surprised it didn't get more national attention given the circumstances, although I think the circumstances were kept relatively quiet so that may be why.

No this is a discussion forum, specifically the plod and law forum, we could discuss the sentencing, the police actions, anything really. Cant really discuss stuff on a news site. OP should have perhaps framed the thread a bit better with a starting discussion point.
