First Ultima Trackday experience

Ventured out to Bruntingthorpe yesterday for my first track blat with the Ultima. I have to say I'm in shock!!!!!! My other cars a Caterham R400 which as anybody who's seen one on a track are bl..dy quick. I thought (wrongly) the Ultima would be less nimble out there, how wrong could I be!! The Ultima out-brakes, out accelerates and corners just as well as the Caterham. High speed cornering just feels planted with no twitching or squirming. Pirelli's seem ok although they did go off after about 40mins hard use. It murdered everything on the track. All in all I'm well impressed!!!!!!!

Sounds like you had a good day! I too used to have a caterham- Great fun. But a caterham that looks like Porsche 962 and sounds like a Mustang Cobra must beat every time. Is it louder and more tiring on the road than a caterham?

Yup, having raced sevens for a few years the Ultima was better than I expected too! Have a gander at my Snett video, the impressive thing isn't that it gobbles up the straights, but it catches the sevens/radicals in the corners too!
