Love a black 993
I had a 993 Targa I used as a daily about 5 yrs ago, loved it from June to September but couldn't bring myself to drive it through the winter in the end so used another car to commute in.
A SS Dansk exhaust will transform the sound and the feel of the engine. Cost about £1100 fitted and was a fab modification.
I was going to fit a set of Fuchs as well, plus bought a dished MOMO wheel, but ended up selling as I wasn't using it as much.
Great cars, you'll love it

I bought a very similar 993 two years ago as a daily driver. I immediately took it to Centre Gravity and they did a few tweaks.
I also replaced the in car entertainment with a Continental unit. Looks good, easy to use and excellent Bluetooth. Check the Bergvil site.
Finally the windscreen creeked so Phil the Glassman reset both front and rear screens.
And last, if I’m allowed to say this on Pistonheads, say hello on the 993 page at 911UK.

Congrats, great cars although I'd want to get the underside bodywork condition checked out before using it through winter; I bought a 993 a few years back which had spent many years near the coast in Scotland, and its underside needed a lot of rectification/protection. Don't want to scare you but worth having checked.

I also had a Dansk SS system fitted when it was in at Ninemeister having the above work done, and to be honest, I found it underwhelming; when I sold the car, the new owner also didn't like it, and he had it removed ! If the original system is in good nick, I'd stick with that for the time being and investigate new systems at your leisure.
When it was in at Ninemeister I also had a Porsche 993 turbo front bumper fitted which to my eye, transformed the look of the front end.

Good luck, and do what you want with the car, we're all different, and enjoy it.

was it expensive to have the underside protected ? what method/system did they use?
Difficult to say as they had to do quite a bit dealing with the corrosion before they could put the protection on; as I said, it had spent a lot of its life by the coast in Scotland, so probably worst case; I also had lots of other work done so difficult to cost. All I'm really saying is that it's probably best to get underside appraised for corrosion/rust and treated before using it as a daily through winter. Ninemeister in Warrington did the work for me and I'd recommend them for any Porsche work.Good luck with the car.

I don't use mine as a daily, but I have upgraded the suspension with bilstein shocks and eibach 30mm lowering springs. After that I got it all set up at centre gravity which was the best money I've spent on the car. Their set up skills are unbelievable, totally transformed the car.

What Bilsteins did you go for? can i ask how much the suspension swap and setup was all in ?
I think I go against the grain regarding suspension but I have always found the 964 and 993 nice to drive on standard suspension if the car is a daily driver. Will depend on what roads you drive though. The 17" Cup 2 wheels you have are a good wheel too. What is important is that the suspension is in good condition as wear in the suspension arms, dampers or rubbers can ruin the ride. If you do decide to change see if you can find somebody that has the setup you are interested in and go for a ride first. Some of the options available can be pretty harsh especially on 18 wheels.

A friend of mine took his 993 to Centre of Gravity and had new Koni FSD shocks fitted with M033 springs and he loved it and said it gave a nice compliant ride for daily use. I think the best way forward would be a visit to CofG if possible and discuss with them what you like.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Lol. Just googled the number plate... I just thought I'd say this is not our daily now. I just drove it home from another service after discussing changing the shocks to classic greens. It does handle nicely. The car is back on its "original 18" turbo twist wheels now. Love it
