As the title suggests, I am in a bit of a pickle.

I've owned a mk1 Leon Cupra R for 10 years and I've had enough.

I can't decide between an E350 265 (2011+) coupe or a BMW E92 coupe 330D.

Thanks

I'd go 330D LCI. I think the E92 is one of the best looking BMWs of recent times, especially in LCI form with the 313 M wheels and the N57 3.0D is a peach. I had a 60 plate E92 LCI 330D and it was fantastic.

The throttle response / gearbox lag in the Mercedes is laughable. I've had both a C350CDi and CLS350CDi and based on the experience of both I will not buy another Merc anytime soon.

Put me off buying the C63 I wanted even though both engine and gearboxes are vastly different.

I now drive an X5 40d e70 LCI.

I've got experience of both engines and I like both in fairness, but I'd go for the 330d purely because it is a bit more "sporty" to drive. If you prefer to waft though then I'd go E350.

I'd go for the E350 for me it's the better car, the 330d does feel a smidge more sporty but the E Coupe for me is a nicer place (I'm bias as I have an E500 Coupe) to be, you have to leave the E Coupe in Sport to get it to pull away in 1st (it'll always pull away in 2nd otherwise) so you get a swifter pull away.

I'm assuming the E350 is a petrol, so why compare it to a diesel BMW?

I'd just get a BMW 330i or 335i. laugh

I'd be going for the Mercedes, because its a petrol engine and it will be a nicer place to be.

You'd be assuming wrong a 265bhp 350 is a diesel (the 350 petrol is 275bhp) hence the reason the OP is comparing apples with apples laugh

I should have made it clearer, both diesels. I thought it would be fairly obvious.
