How does this work. Ive noted a few sellers on ebay selling things on amazon, sometimes they are cheaper than amazon, only by a few pence. Ive narrowed it down to the exact listing etc, how can they be cheaper?

Amazon commissions are large, i paid away almost 40% on a book that I sold. I suspect that sellers increase their gross price for a sale on amazon.

Can you elaborate a little, I’m not sure what you mean. If it’s a eBay / amazon price think same seller, same item then maybe the on platform promotions are built into the selling price?

On eBay at the moment if you have a good margin then you can dominate the search results and sell a lot of product. (If you have the margin)

So for example.

Dealsdirect0121 has a feedback of 34 but a shop with 16k items in. Lots of the items are the same if you paste it in to amazon. Some of the items are a bit cheaper on amazon than his ebay shop - so obviously making ££. Other items, such as this pan are more expensive than amazon. I was trying to figure out if Businesses or large buyers get a discount on amazon?

Online retailer I worked for always put higher prices on Amazon to cover their fees. It was cheaper to buy direct from the company website.

Didn't stop loads of NHS departments permanently buying from Amazon though despite pointing out they could save a lot of money.

Wren - don’t always think sellers know what they are selling at, in a lot of cases it’s bad data input that doesn’t get caught for a while if multi country multi site.

Roo - NHS and many others need an approved supplier, if they can’t be bothered approving the company via the website then Amazon is a good catch all for ordering.
