Technical info on Porsche web site says range of 22-24 miles. This would be perfect for me as my work is 20 miles away. It would mean that 80% of my journeys would be on electric only as I would have a charging point fitted to both work and home.
Does anyone own a hybrid and can they confirm that they can actually get this range?

I've owned two new shape Panamera Hybrids, a saloon and a Sport Turismo and found their official electric range very realistic..I had up to 28 miles on the saloon ans rather bizarrely a slightly less 24 miles on the Sport Turismo..This 4 mile difference i'm pretty sure about is due to the saloon being on 20'' wheels whereas the Sport Turismo had the 21'' wheels..
It looks way better on the 21'' however you pay for it in 4 miles less range..I'd guess the same variances would affect the fuel economy as well,,This is the reason i'm going with 20'' wheels on the Taycan next Spring.
I currently have a 64 plate Cayenne e hybrid on 20'' wheels with 43k miles on it and its still pretty much has the same range as it did new...so much for the much mooted battery degradation..I also have a new Cayenne Coupe hybrid on 21'' wheels and it has about the same range as my old Sport turismo..
Get 20'' wheels if you want to maximise e range and just live with the looks,,

Thats great info thanks.
I am looking at a Turismo, I currently have a Panamera Turbo, but really like the looks of the Turismo.
The only question is, will I miss the performance of the Turbo? I only use the power on my current car occassionaly, but it is nice to have it there when needed :-).I would love the Turbo S E Hybrid, but cant really justify the extra £50k

In terms of performance it'll depend on two things..First and foremost if you run the battery in Hybrid or E mode until depleted then maximum performance is slightly less as there is less E boost..In this scenario turn the mode switch to SPORT and it will charge up the battery quickly( at the expense of fuel) until there is enough battery charge to enable E boost.
Another way to always keep full performance is to always switch to SPORT before the battery has fully depleted to ensure that E boost is always on tap..In SPORT mode the Panamera hybrid is a proper rocketship with faster responses than any Turbo i've driven as the E motor provided instant 295 lb/ft torque 100% of the time.
I agree its the Turismo is the one to get as its probably one of the most stunning looking cars on the road IMHO..Buying one again i'd always choose the 21'' wheels for aesthetics and forego the extra 4 mile E range
The new three chamber Air suspension is a thing of wonder in the way it defies physics on a 2T plus car..

I have a Tourismo and commute 45 km to work and have a charger at both ends. The 45 km are one third city, A road and motorway with no speed limit.
Average electric range is about 35 kms I would say. If I do all but the motorway Electric, I get about 6 litres per 100 km (don't know what that is in mpg) despite going flat out (traffic permitting) on the Autobahn.

I think it would work well for you.
