:rage: Been having problems with , what I think to be a couple of 14 or 15 year olds knocking on my door late at night then legging it. It's happened for the past few nights, but I have a sneaking suspicion who these kids may be, but am unsure.
Was going to lay in wait for them tonight, but thought , what can I do if I do catch them?:shoot::punch:
I know what I want to do, but I think that may be illegal :cop:
Anyone else had this problem & confronted the culprits with any success ?

You cant do anything that might discombobulate the little darlings.
Specifically, you cannot:
rewire the doorbell to squirt antivandal paint
rewire the doorbell to electrocute them
leave a charge with dogshit on it wired to the doorbell
beat the living daylights out of them
You probably could rig up a camera to capture images, then go to their parents to see if they could do anything. I'd like to think that if they have fathers, then a quiet word, perhaps down the pub might result in a word or two in the little sods shellike.

I was thinking of sitting in the car tonight. (they have to get past the car to get to the front door) When they knock on the door & try & leg it, All I have to do is open the car door quickly & they're stuck.
Don't worry, the car is only an old Mondeo Rep-mobile. No sports cars involved.

Ah, but if it's the kid who i think it is, We have some Serious problems with him, or should I say, my wife has.
I wouldn't mind if it was a one off incident, I know, I used to knock on peoples doors & leg it, but it's been quite a regular occurance, at about 11pm.
It may not happen tonight as the brats are back to school tomorrow.

Lots of variables to consider with this sort of behaviour.
I’d be inclined to try to confirm your suspicions as to their identities. If it happened again and you know their address. Give them an hour or two to get home and then go round and knock on their doors. Then ask what they wanted? That way they know that you know where they live and that maybe you are just crazy enough to be trouble.

And nobody here EVER played Knock a door run! FFS it's just kids messing about. They'll get bored soon and find something else to do. Unless of course you make a big deal out of it then they will plague you forever as they will know they have got to you.
There's something in that!
It could escalate to a full blown fued if you are not careful.
Personally, I would try and ignore them, for a while at least.

I always remember a certain film, good lady whacked hubby over the head with a frozen leg of lamb, he fell down the stairs and died, wifey cooked the lamb, evidence safely devoured.

One of Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected, think it might have been called Lamb? If I remember correctly, she offered the lamb to the police who came to investigate, who were only too happy to help out

We used to play "garden creeping" for a dare.....
Idea was you had to get along a row of about 30 back gardens in a row,(commando style) without being caught........
Once, this Geezer built like a brick s**thouse came out with a shotgun and shouted "Come out you bastards wherever you are"....
We were flat out, terrified in the long grass about three feet from where he was standing.....
Went home with brown trousers that night......
Well it was nearly forty years ago..........
Partly thanks to the PC brigade and sensationalist media we no longer feel comfortable dealing with youth’s these days.
I remember myself and a mate walking off with somebody’s garden gate one night. We simply intended to leave it up the road a bit but the householder spotted us and was soon on the scene. He was understandably upset and shouting at us. My cocky friend said with all the aplomb he could muster “calm down calm down don’t take offence it’s only a gate”.
