New Ferrari launched in Rome tonight.
Apparently 620HP and 0-62 in 3.4s

Based on the Portofino chassis. I think it looks stunning.

Hints of Daytona at the front in side profile, but other than that it does nothing for me whatsover.

That’s sort of what the AM Vantage should look like!

is this the long rumoured entry “Dino” model, or something else entirely?

Front side view reminds me of the DB10 which was never released but was in Skyfall.

Looks too generic. Interior is nice though.

Since Ferrari abandoned Pininfarina (and other design houses) in favor of it's own inhouse design centre and with it more or less abandoned it's historical styling cues, things are going downhill at Ferrari IMO (Design wise that is, the engines are still glorious).

Too many new models as well by the way. Fiat N.V. probably need the cash.

I like that. First Ferrari in a long time that isn't overwhelmed by awkward angles and excessive detail.

that is the one thing I don't like

I like the rest and think it will look quite good in dark blue or dark green
quoted weight is quite exciting
and without shields (could be a first for press shots)

Launch photos need to be in red, looks to AM for me in that colour.

I think that is stunning and in fact a great return to historic Ferrari styling with fewer of the vents and slashes that have appeared on modern cars. Older road based Ferraris are sleek and glamorous, think Daytona, 250GT and Enzo's personal car for many years the 330GT. And, dare I say it, the more recent 612, also criticised for being too bland. Modern supercar tastes seem to be all about 'race car' styling with aero tweaks and aggressive looks, this is a more subtle, more mature approach, styling that takes time to absorb and appreciate. I love it.

Any ideas on prices yet? Is this a vantage rival?

I don't know, but would have thought between the Portofino and the Lusso T (Portofino c. €190k and Lusso T c. €225k). Lusso T now discontinued I believe

Rumoured base price about £165k so more a DB11 rival.Apparently it is nearly as big as an 812.

Looks very Jag F type to me. Not a fan but always better to judge cars in the metal.

Posted on another thread so...

I was expecting something ground breaking. Out of date already. No battery on board? EV range? Surely Ferrari now have the tech to deliver a 2+2 with 100+ miles EV capability but with a V8 for out of town driving? Shame. Missed opportunity especially when you consider fossil fuelled cars are being phased out. We're only a couple of years out from on-board GPS linked speed limitation, max noise at 67db?

Maybe Ferrari can start to release some truly innovative products rather than relying on their past. I don't think I've been as disappointed in any Ferrari release. I'll await their fossil fuelled SUV in anticipation.

I think i'm looking forward to the Tesla Model Y more than this :-) Perhaps McLaren have something more interesting for release soon?

Am I missing something here as I only skimmed the video? Has this car got the SF90 Powertrain or something along those lines?

If not, yawn - it's been done already and it's a re-hash of tech that's several years old - just clothed in another bodyshell in order to try and prop their numbers up?

5/10 Ferrari! Keep up at the back!
