End of Doc Martin?
Discussion
I think ITV is yet to decide whether Series 10 will be commissioned.
Whilst I've enjoyed the 9 series to date, my feeling was that the writers were running out of ideas as to where else the character(s) and plot lines could be taken.
If Wednesday's episode was to be the last ever, then I think it was a reasonably fitting conclusion.

Will Mrs Tishell(sp) ever give up the neck brace?
Will Bert Large escape the attention of the obsessed midget?
What will Martin do next? I could see comedy value in him becoming a counsellor with Louise!
There’s more to the mad funeral director.
What will Morwenna do now?
Surely got to be some happiness for the hapless policeman. Maybe become a real life hero and win the girl?

I suspect it will be, but the ending did seem a bit rushed.
"I'm giving up being a GP"
"Errr, OK then"
Would a GP who faints at the sight of blood even be allowed to practice?
If you get the chance to visit Port Isaac do so, it's lovely in summer,...... they were filming when we were there earlier this year.

My GP doesn't get involved with blood, they don't carry out ops, or an emergency service. "I'm giving up being a GP"

We stayed in Port Isaac, they were filming, all good fun. The police station is in the next village Port Gaverne, the port Gaverne Hotel is rather good too.
I was surprised at the number of German visitors with doc Martin fever, couldn't get enough of him.

I knew a GP who didn't like the sight of blood, I asked him how he coped. He said he worked as an anaesthetist during his surgical year and then into general practice. He said that all he did now was to shout "Nurse!"We stayed in Port Isaac, they were filming, all good fun. I was there once with them filming it. I'd never heard of the programme and didn't recognise the actor everyone was getting v worked up over. It all become clear soon afterwards. I was surprised at the number of German visitors with doc Martin fever, couldn't get enough of him.
I wonder what the residents would make of it ending. I presume the actual filming is less of an inconvenience than another few decades of tourism inspired by it.
