Mine had that problem,
If you check the fuel pump(under Diff), you'll find a spade connecter, which is the earth for the fuel pump, clean and refit. It's more than likely this will be the problem, as if you have a look, it's a really bad design. Unless of course you've had a bump. But i can't tell you where the inertia switch is.

It's in a similar place on the Chimaera - under the dash. If you unscrew the pocket (where there should/could be a glovebox) and look in you should find it. I believe it can be seen in one of the pictures I took of 'how to remove the dash'. Take a look at:

http://treforjones.users.btopenworld.com/ChimaeraDashRemoval.html

It's probably the wiring to the pump itself or something else though - take a close look at the pump wiring - exposed and fragile are two words which come to mind.

If it's neither of these then look at your relays and fuses. (Someone else might be able to point you towards the right items in the jumble of wiring - but checking they are all tightly in place is a start!)
