Any advice on tyres for a 911 Gen 2 turbo? Michelins seem to get strong reviews, but even within the Michelin range there seems to be loads of choice.

I would want 235/35/ZR19 91Y on the front and 305/30/ZR19 102Y on the rears.

I think mine is on Pirelli’s at the moment but it will be on Michelins as soon as these wear out. PS 2 or PS 4S. Check out their web site for vehicle figment. Had Mich on previous 997 and they give a nicer ride.

What sort of mileage are you doing annually and are you driving all year round?

For general all round use the Michelin PS4S is a good tyre, though some don't like the softer sidewalls. Continental SC6 should be good to though I haven't tried them. I would avoid PZeros unless the "new" one with the different tread pattern - known as the PZ4; not sure about the size tho'.

Another option if you are not doing huge miles is the Michelin Sport Cup2 which comes with NO homologation for your sizes. I run them all year round on the R8 (similar power and 4wd like your 997) but they won't hook up as soon in cold wet conditions as a regular high performance tyre.
