I thought i'd find this price point easy.

As per the title, fast is subjective but something quick and fun.

Big lad so MX5 and the like are way too cramped.

Love hot hatches, but nothing much jumps at me in this ballpark.

VW man really but want some left field suggestions! What do you all think?

Renault Clio Sport I guess is the obvious choice, either 182 or 197 should be in your budget.

You could get the Mk3 MX-5 in your budget which is quite roomy, I'm 6ft4 and I fit in it fine for some perspective

As something more leftfield what about a Skoda Fabia VRS?

Unfortunately the mx5 is definitely off the list, I just do not fit at all haha!

197 seems a good shout, hoping to hear some real world advice on them!

I know it's rapidly becoming a cliché, but I'm seriously considering a Legacy Spec B for a bit of fun while they're not too leggy.

I want petrol, don't do many miles, and want something a bit bigger than my current daily. Have to watch the tax, as I believe some of the newer ones creep up to the pricier bracket.
