It’s cold and grotty out, but I need a new rear tyre fitted.

Do mobile tyre fitters exist for bikes in the same way they do for cars? I’m based in High Wycombe, Bucks, and struggling to find anyone. Don’t mind paying a bit extra for them to come to me.

T31r in 190/50/17 if it makes any difference.

Doubt you’ll be that lucky.

It’s hard enough taking them anywhere to be fitted in my experience.

I know a few car tyre fitters who will do bikes but more that point blank say no, even for loose wheels.

Yes, they exist. I use a guy in Surrey.

I give him loose wheels but he’ll do the entire job if you don’t have the tools.

The guy I use is just a mobile motorcycle mechanic and has all the kit in his van. £10 a wheel and a brew while he's here.

I never expect him to make a special trip we just time it when he's working somewhere else locally.

Ahh, sadly I'm just out of his area too.

To clarify, wasn't just looking to have the tyre fitted, was after a supply and fit (though the former would be cheaper I'm sure)

If you were closer to Bristol, I would recommend EMJ, he has a mobile workshop in his van and comes to you.

Shame you’re out of his patch.. I had a puncture on my commuter bike and he was able to repair same day but also had options to supply a new tyre if needed. Carries most sizes in stock.

Good luck in your search!

I'm just down the road in Aylesbury, I've never really found a decent local mobile fitter for motorcycle tyres unfortunately.

Struggle enough to find anyone to do it at their premises - Les Liney used to supply and fit, or just fit my own supplied tyres, but sadly he's not in a position to do that at the moment.

I just do it myself at present smile

Mototune in Chesham or CTM in Kimble are both good chaps.
