Mercedes 350 balance shaft issue

Don't know if anyone has brought this up before but I'm very interested in having a discussion. My engine is currently undergoing an engine out front end rebuild thanks to the really poor quality of the metal used for the balance shaft and associated components. I can give costings and labour times etc. Cheers, Chris.

A well documented issue on the 3.5.

I think they had a rework for the 2008 onwards although the bad batch is listed by engine number.
