Evening PH

I thought I'd pop up a few pictures of my externally completed BMW 2002

It's taken me 4 years to get this far, so driving it for the first time a couple of months was an amazing feeling. Still need to sort out the interior, and I'll get that sorted by the spring.

I'm thinking about colour for the wheels. Any opinions welcome on what colour I should go with?

Car as it sits in the pictures un-flat and polished, and missing a couple bits of trim, but you get the idea.

You should chop the roof, the greenhouse is too tall.

Cheers.

Its running with an M44 from an E36 318is, so 1.9 16v twin cam. Supposed to be around 144hp (doesn't feel like it at the moment though).

Looks great.

I (vaguely) know someone who is fitting an S2000 drivetrain into one of these. It's been going on quite some time, however.

Should be a laugh though!

Very nice..

That M44 engine is very good; I had a 318iS that I did several track days with a few years ago.

They rev very well and seem to get a 'lift' nearer the top end of the rev range.

Re wheel colour...how about anthracite or a similar subtle shade.

Wheel colour to complement the body colour- I'd go for Porsche Weissgold- very subtle hint of gold

Going with this on the centres of my crosspokes.

Didn't realise you'd gone M44 Dean. How was it clearing the steering? If you want to go ITB give me a shout as the guys I use are offering conversion plates to use S54 bodies. I did look at GKD supercharger kit but opted to stay NA in the end.

I do like the colour of these. Would look pretty good up against the bronze.

I'm thinking of trying out a little porting and polishing on the M42 I've got. ITB's sound a bit of me too. Details would be lovely if you could provide them Mark!

Just in case anyone fancies a look, here's a link to my YouTube video, including on board footage. Please go have a butchers (its a little amateur, but not bad nonetheless, and gets better after approx 4 mins), and it don't hurt to like and subscribe neither!

Thanks.

Are you looking for something to jump in and drive, or a bit of a project car?
