Hi all,

Picked up what I thought was a DVD film from a charity shop yesterday, but when I got it home I noticed it was in Blue ray format.....Doh!

It was only a couple of quid, so not the end of the world, but I was wondering if you can download a Blue ray player programme to a laptop?

I am a computer numpty btw.

I could buy a new Blue Ray player for £40 but obviously not worth it.

(The film is Anthropoid about the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich btw) smile

I would ask the shop to swap it, but it was fifty miles away.

Has your laptop actually got a Blu Ray drive? If not, you're stuffed. It's a different format to DVD - you can't play a Blu Ray disc on a DVD player...

If your laptop doesn't have a blu-ray drive, do you have either a PS3, PS4 or Xbox One?

All three of those consoles have blu-ray drives.

Cheers, thanks for the replies.

No, I don't have any of those games consoles, but my sons do, so I'll speak nicely to them .:

Thanks again.
