Audio from TV to HiFi, but no audio L/R connectors
Discussion
I have a new TV that does not have the red/white audio out connectors.
It does have 4 HDMI (1 is ARC) and optical output.
I want to connect STB, Apple TV (4K), Blu-ray player and computer so that’s all the HDMI inputs used.
I have a normal amp that just has normal red/white L/R connectors.
Only need stereo output (not interested in surround sound as TV in other room has this).
I have a 4K repeater that also has L/R output.
Do I, for example simply connect the Apple TV to the HDMI repeater and then to the TV (ARC input) and then the L/R in the repeater to the stereo?
Does that mean the ARC is a two way thing, even if the Apple TV is not being played? i.e. I want output to amp regardless of input device.?
